I came across these necklaces from VectorCloud this morning and instantly felt that special little tingle that signals the presence of a brilliantly original idea. The VectorCloud studio focuses on laser cut design products and for these pendants they promise to custom make them from your own photo of a building you have an emotional attachment to (childhood home, church where you wed etc.) I think this if absolutely sweet and even though I'm not quite sure whether I have the adequate nostalgic tie to any of my previous lodgings to qualify one of them for jewelrification, I can very well imagine that many other people would.

Anyway I will be checking back to see what other great stuff the Queens based design studio turns out. It is always a joy to come across unique items and made-to-order products in this age of globalized brands, so I wish them all the best!
